Overview Of The Port Of Arrecife

About Arrecife
Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote, an island in the Canary Islands located in the Atlantic Ocean.

Not far from the shuttle drop off point is Charco, an inlet of water with bars, restaurants and white buildings overlooking it. Calle Leon y Castilia, the main shopping street of the town, is reached by crossing the bridge and walking nearly a mile. Note that some shops and attractions may observe a siesta mid afternoon. The beach at Reducto, is another mile's walk from here.

Popular island excursions include the Castillo San Gabriel, a fort dating back to 1590 and the Timanfaya National Park and Montanas de Fuego (Fire Mountains).

A mix of local dishes and international cuisine are available.

Cruise ships dock at the Port of Arrecife. Shuttle buses are usually provided, drop off being at Charo de San Gines, a few hundred yards away from bars and restaurants. It is possible to walk, taking at least 30 minutes but the route is quite busy and not very scenic.
